Kevin Kelly Believes TNA’s Partnership with WWE Will Not Benefit Them – Selambe

TNA Wrestling and WWE have collaborated in the past and they have started it again since last month with Jordynne Grace’s appearance on NXT television. While many are positive about the partnership, Kevin Kelly isn’t one of them, as he feels the partnership won’t help TNA.

While speaking on 83 Weeks, former AEW commentator Kevin Kelly talked about the partnership between TNA and WWE. He believes that TNA is seeking to gain attention and benefit from WWE’s reputation by collaborating and possibly welcoming some of WWE’s talents. However, Kelly predicts that such a partnership will not be beneficial for TNA in the long run.

In Kelly’s view, WWE would likely capitalize on the arrangement by selecting the best elements of TNA’s roster and leaving TNA in a vulnerable position. He argues that TNA may struggle to retain its talents once they become targets of WWE’s interest. Kelly suggests that TNA could find itself repeatedly rebuilding its roster with wrestlers released by WWE, rather than developing its own homegrown talent.

Kelly stated that while TNA may initially receive some buzz and attention from such a partnership, ultimately WWE’s ability to attract top talent and TNA’s limitations in retaining them would undermine any sustainable benefits for TNA

“TNA is doing anything that they can to try to get some attention, to get some relief from what they’re doing and what they’re trying to do is set up a relationship where WWE will send guys to them and TNA will get some buzz out of it and some rub or whatever, but it’s not going to work, and eventually WWE is just going to take the pieces that they want, because that’s where the talent wants to be, and TNA won’t have the resources to keep them, so now that you’ve opened that door, say goodbye to everybody in TNA that you spent time building and they’ll continue to rely on guys that have recently been released from WWE for minimal gains without developing any homegrown talent.”

TNA talent are expected to appear during the 25-man battle royal on this June 18 edition of NXT. It remains to be seen how WWE and TNA Wrestling’s partnership will continue to flourish in the coming weeks.
