Asuka shares an update after her successful knee surgery – Selambe

After working through a knee injury for at least a couple of months, Asuka announced she was taking a break from WWE shortly after she & Kairi Sane dropped the Women’s Tag titles to Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair at last month’s Backlash France premium live event.

Then a couple weeks ago, she posted a picture of her knee in a brace on social media from what looked like a hospital bed. That led everyone to the obvious conclusion that she’s undergone surgery, which she confirms in a new vlog entitled “Surgery” that she posted to her YouTube channel last last night (June 16).

Asuka says the procedure took about 90 minutes, and that her doctors tell her it was a success. She mentions multiple times that she was unable to walk on her own after the operation, and that her knee hurts, “but I can take painkillers and I’m fine.”

She still doesn’t disclose the exact nature of the injury, but the vlog concludes with her traveling to a rehabilitation center to begin rehabbing her knee and telling us she’ll us soon.
