Beyond Good & Evil delisted ahead of 20th Anniversary Edition’s reveal this week

Ubisoft‘s Beyond Good & Evil is being removed from digital storefronts ahead of the release of a 20th Anniversary Edition of the game.“At the request of the publisher, Beyond Good and Evil is unlisted on the Steam store and will not appear in search,” reads a product page on Valve’s PC marketplace. While the game is still available on GOG, it’s also been pulled from sale on the Xbox store.Ubisoft said this week that it’s planning to share news about Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition on Thursday. The title is set to appear during the Limited Run Games showcase, which will air on June 20 at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST.Given Beyond Good and Evil is being removed from digital marketplaces, it’s possible the publisher could be planning to release the new edition of the game coinciding with the showcase.Following multiple leaks, including Ubisoft mistakenly releasing an early version of the game to some of its customers, the company said last November that the previously unannounced Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Editionwould be released in early 2024 for unspecified platforms.Ubisoft has been planning a sequel to Beyond Good & Evil for the best part of two decades, but the project’s development has reportedly suffered a series of setbacks, including the death of its creative director Emile Morel last year.
